PhD student seeking nice folk to live in home with

I?m looking to buddy up and rent a flat with someone nice or join an existing flatshare or rent a place myself. I?ll be starting a doctorate in clinical psychology with the university of Essex from end Sept 2019 so I want somewhere chill I can relax and study when I need to. Looking in Wivenhoe and smaller areas around Colchester and near the uni too. It?s important to me to have clean comfortable shared areas (my room tends to get messy!) and I like making a place homey. I come with a lot of plants and boardgames. I?m typically out and about doing things or studying but also enjoy chatting and drinking tea or watching rubbish tv from time to time with flat mates. I?d like a place with parking as I?ll have to drive to placements. Washing machine and living room and broadband essential. I?m cool with unfurnished as long as the white goods are in place. I think I?m nice and pretty easy to live with! I?m one of those housemates who is away a lot as I?ll be seeing my girlfriend in London and I like hiking and camping etc. I?d ideally prefer to live with lgbt folk and not with live in landlords as that can sometimes feel a bit like being a guest in someone?s home but obviously it depends on the person!

Really not looking for a studenty place despite, yes, technically being a student. If you are the sort of person who would step over promotional pizza flyers in the hall instead of picking them up we probably wouldn?t click because I?ve been a student forever and am trying to have more of a home than uni halls vibe these days.
