I have a nice single room in a quiet road. With sheared facilities. 10 minutes walk to the station and the same into town center. WiFi available, washing machine, bill's included. It's a friendly household. My current lodger in this room has been here 18 months so we can't be to bad to live with :-). We share some meals or you can do your own thing. We also socialise together.
