Short-let double bedroom in Iver village-centre home available to rent. Term negotiable.

Just 10 minutes drive from Heathrow Airport and minutes from the M4 Jct 4&5, M40 Jct 1 and M25 Jct 15. Mainline rail link to Paddington (journey time 25 minutes every half hour) and services to Oxford, Slough & Reading to the west. We are also on the CrossRail / Elizabeth Line route expected from 2018/19 and Uxbridge is minutes away for Piccadilly & Metropolitan Line tube access. Hillingdon, Cowley, West Drayton, Yiewsley, Slough, Langley and Windsor / Eton, Pinewood Studios, Fulmer, Stoke Poges and Burnham are close by.

Iver is a rural village on the fringe of west London, atop a hill in the Colne Valley Park, just outside the M25. It is the home of Pinewood Studios and has a rich history of Royals and the aristocracy going back to the days of Anglo Saxon England and is mentioned in Doomsday Book. The Grand Union canal, rivers Fray, Colnebrook and Colne, lakes and reservoirs are all to be found nearby.

I live at the property, as does my lovely Rottwieler / German Shepherd cross 7 year old male dog and, at time of writing, one other lodger. Prospective tenants must like dogs and must be confident / able to deal with a large dog. He is a popular dog in the area and everyone he meets on his walks tells me how lovely and friendly he is. He loves his walks in the surrounding natural countryside, as do I. I am gay and live at the property.

The house is very quiet and the area is largely trouble free. It's my home and is not a party house, although the occasional celebration, summer BBQ, birthday party etc is welcome.

Sirens are a rare sound and you even hear the birds here. We have Red Kites nesting in the area and I have blackbird nests in my garden.

The village is friendly and has all the usual amenities to hand, 24 hour ATM, Co-op store, take-aways, a pub and conveience stores but there are larger facilities only a short drive away. Having your own transport would be advantageous but not essential.

All household utilities and amenities - dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier, microwave, halogen oven, gas hob, electric oven, fridge-freezer, Blue-Ray DVD, HDTV, Amazon Prime and on-demand TV as well as a hi-speed wireless broadband connection - are included. Parking is available, un-allocated but free.

Would suit single gay male or female of any age. My interests include History, F1, Travel, Aviation, Astronomy, Photography, Writing, Music (of all kinds), Science, Sci-Fi, the Universe and our Origins, ETI theories, Wildlife & Conservation, my dog and Human Rights.

The bedroom, as with the rest of the house, is furnished but there is enough space for personal items if required.
