Are you a young couple saving up for a house? New to the area searching for the perfect flat and need time to save up? Or just happy to share for a while? We have a large room for rent and space for a couple wanting to share a house. We are looking for full-time working people (please don't contact if you are not in full time employment) or full time mature students who can prove their income, sorry no claimants or pets.
About the house:
Our house is a Victorian terrace build in 1901. A two bedroom house with two large bedrooms and two receptions. There is a galley kitchen and small bathroom downstairs and a sunny back yard. Full central heating and double glazed. In the lounge there is a wood burner (which we do use on occasion) with big brown leather sofa and table and chairs for chilling out and eating and we have a front sitting room for relaxing with a comfy sofa bed for the use of any guests. We have Sky multi room in the lodgers room and downstairs reception room and a fast unlimited broadband connection so you will have the option to relax in private. All bills are included in the rent including: Council Tax, Sky, BB. We are currently just finishing the redecoration of the house; it has a white and oatmeal colour scheme with tan and wood effect floor.
The bedroom for rent is the front bedroom, a large room with plenty of room for a king size bed. It has a double black metal frame and cream/tan carpet. There is a chests of drawers and a built in wardrobe. It can be furnished or unfurnished. The walls are kept white keeping the room light and airy. The ceilings are high giving the room a spacious feel.
The house is situated a 2 minute walk from the town centre and the train station (train 35 mins to Exeter) and 15 minutes to the beach.
There is parking on the street but no residents parking so you have to be creative or lucky to park outside. During the early morning plenty of spaces are available as everyone leaves for work; however shoppers tend to park here during the day. We each have a vehicle and manage okay most days to find a space.
About Us
We are a couple in our mid forties, young @ heart. We both work fulltime. We relax at home when not busy, watching TV, enjoying meals, browsing or playing online and listening to music. Sometimes having a beer /wine and enjoying a BBQ. Mostly the house is quiet and chilled. We go out on occasion on a night out in town and like to be out enjoying the beach and the ocean: surfing, kayaking and dog walking. We have two adorable mini Schnauzers dogs a big part of our life, We also have visiting dogs so our lodgers MUST be very dog friendly/tolerant individuals. ( do not contact if not 100% dog friendly)The dogs don’t shed hair and are well behaved.
We keep the house tidy and clean (to our standards, as we understand everyone is different) as it’s nicer to live in that way. Though we do leave dishes occasionally and wouldn’t say we are super clean. We don’t have any strict house rules as such; all we ask is that our lodgers are as conscientious as we are and contribute to keeping the house clean and tidy. This is a happy positive home and we are hoping to find some lovely lodgers to share our space. We are easy going and courteous and we are looking for lodgers who have similar values.
We are ideally looking for lodgers who need a room in Exmouth for a minimum of 6 months-12 months. People who are mature in a sense that they know what it is to share a house in harmony and courtesy.
We are searching in advance as we want to find the right lodgers for us. The room will be available to view you can come and meet us and have a cuppa at any time. We look forward to hearing from you.
