PG / mature student - Double room (bills included)

Hi, I’m Greg, a 38 year old mature student, and I rent this lovely 2-bed flat in Talbot woods (near Winton and the University). I’ve decided to rent out the 2nd bedroom (the landlord is fine with that!) for 6 months from January 2024.

I’ve enjoyed having flatmates previously and also enjoyed the flat on my own. But now I’m in the final year of my uni degree so need to cut down on hours working my job, and focus on the final year of uni work… hence getting in someone to help pay the rent!

Ideally I’d like a mature student or PG student who is looking for a peaceful, tidy home.

You don’t have to worry about the rise in utility bills because rent is inclusive of all gas, electric and water utility bills, and high speed wifi. (TV licence and council tax not included in rent).


The room is furnished with a 4ft double bed with 2 under-bed storage drawers and a pocket sprung mattress, a desk & chair, tall chest of drawers, long mirror and a open wardrobe/clothes rail. There is an aerial point, power sockets and a radiator. The room has a blackout blind for a good nights sleep and overlooks the private garden.

The flat is on the ground floor of the 1900's building surrounded by greenery and tall trees. It's very quiet - you can't even hear the road!

The flat has 2 bedrooms with the second one on the lower-ground floor occupied by me. I’m easy going, tidy and spend a lot of time working on my uni final design project in the flat - I’m home a lot. I am looking to live with the ‘right person’ so must meet you in person first to see how we get on.

There are 2 bathrooms with a bath and shower, and you will have use of the large shared bathroom on the ground floor.
The kitchen has all mod-cons including a fantastic range oven (every cooking fanatics dream!) microwave, Washing machine, tumble drier, retro-style fridge, smeg freezer, toaster, kettle, and a dining table.
Crockery, cutlery, pots, pans also provided. Everything is finished to a very high spec, in a lovely homely environment.

There is also a lounge which doubles as my creative work space and study, where I spend most of my time.
The flat has wooden-style flooring (carpet in the bedroom) and is recently decorated throughout.

I'm looking to find a respectful, clean and tidy tenant who appreciates the niceties of home. This is a 'home' to be proud of and enjoy - not a party house.

There is a private terraced garden, friendly neighbours and lots of parking on the surrounding roads.

The flat is located close to Winton - just a 5min walk to the high street where you'll find coffee shops, a few bars and some useful shops including waitrose, lidl, wilkinsons and Boots.

The university is a 10 min walk and you can stroll to Bournemouth centre in 20 minutes (or a short 5 min drive!)

This would suit a mature student / post grad who is looking for a modern, relaxing place to live. Mon-Fri lets also welcome. If you're looking to meet lots of new people in a busy household this probably isn't for you. Single people preferred although if you do have a partner who visits please be respectful of me as the other tenant - this is not a room for couples.

Viewings available - preferably mid week evenings as I have uni and a part time job.

The room is available from January 2024. Ideally a 6 month licence to occupy to start off, and see how that works for everyone. Shorter stay will be considered.

£660 per month due each month in advance.

1 months deposit required which will be secured with the DPS.
Right to rent checks will be done (ID needed). Single person, no couples, no pets, non smoking flat. References required.
