Peaceful house,Summerdown,Eastbourne

We are a professional couple who have taken early retirement. We currently have one daughter living at home with us.
We live in a large contemporary house, close to the Royal Golf Course and on the edge of the National Park. It is a very quiet area and this is something we treasure. Our house is equally quiet. (Whilst we 'have fun' we simply expect everyone to be respectful of each other). Any lodger would need to be like-minded.
The room that we have available are not en-suite but there are two bathrooms. In addition the live-in landlady and landlord have their own.
Please note that the parking is 'on-road'. However, we live in a desirable and quiet part of the town and this has never presented a problem.
The room is a small double but is large enough to be comfortable bed-sitting room. The room has a double bed, single wardrobe, tall boy, dressing table/desk, small armchair as well as a beautiful wall mirror and T. V. We do not have Sky T. V. We have fibre optic broadband. The room is located at the back of the property and has views over the back garden and towards the South Downs in the mid-distance.
We have a utility room and reasonable use of the washing machine is available.
A range of crockery and cooking equipment is available. Many of our lodgers have found this perfectly adequate - but you should feel free to 'top it up' if there is anything you need in addition.
The rooms are not available for someone who needs to spend the majority of their time working from home.
The prices given are for single occupancy.
We are happy to accommodate a guest on a Monday - Friday basis. We would be prepared to negotiate a reduction in rent in this event. We would also consider other combinations of nights required.
Generally we provide short-term accommodation. Professionals, often new to the area, and requiring accommodation whist seeking something to buy have often stayed here.
We are happy to provide a full house keeping service, tailored to the needs of our individual guests. We do this a fraction above cost.
Bedding and towels and laundering of these can be made available but this would be an additional cost.
Although all bills are included an additional sum will be payable to cover the costs of cleaning if necessary.
