Fully furnished double room available in Blackburn. The house is in the Corporation Park area of Blackburn, close to Lancashire Cricket Club and Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School. Very convenient location - can walk to town centre in 10 minutes, yet located on a nice and quiet cobbled street. Train to Manchester = 30 mins. Train to Preston = 20 mins. etc.
The house itself has 2 reception rooms (1 is set up as formal dining room with piano), modern kitchen, recently overhauled back garden with patio and relaxing area, small front garden, 2 bedrooms, modern shower room. The kitchen has combined washer tumble dryer and a dishwasher.
Rent is £380 pcm. This includes gas, electric, water, council tax and wireless broadband. I do ask however that should the utilities prices rise that the lodger pay half of the rise amount. Additionally the only other thing I request on top is that you pay half of the monthly TV license cost for every month resident in the house (currently is £145. 50 for 12 months).
The furniture in the house is all pretty much brand new and many areas have just been wallpapered and newly decorated so I am looking for a trustworthy and clean and tidy person to share my house with. I'm looking for someone who is considerate but also friendly and fun.
This room is available due to my previous housemate having moved out to buy her own property nearby. We remain great friends.
I have an all consuming job which means that I prefer a quiet and relaxed household in the evenings and at weekends. I'm quite sociable but am looking for someone thoughtful, e. g. does not slam doors at midnight and does not bring random people back to the house that I don't know about.
Also in the house is a piano, which you are welcome to use. And an 11 month old springer spaniel puppy. He is trained and loving. He's a medium sized dog and sleeps in the kitchen at night. You are not required in any way to take care of his needs, my retired parents have him all day Monday-Friday so he is not even in the house at those times. HOWEVER he is incredibly important so I need to ensure whoever takes the room is dog friendly and responsibly enough to not let him fly out of the front door should they ever be alone in the house with him :-)
Regards.
