Myself (23yr engineer) and a uni friend currently let a house in Stroud (GL54JA). We are both now in full-time employment, myself at Delphi, and Daniel (23yr engineer) at Renishaws. The house is a 4 bed, currently the house is fully occupied; we have a Delphi YinI students staying (Peter), however he moves out in August. This leaves myself and Daniel with an issue of expense. The house rent is currently Â£850, but is due to increase. Shared 3 ways inc. bills etc. works out at about Â£400pcm, however, with Peter leaving the house; myself and Daniel cannot sustain living there.
Ideally we are looking for another 12 month contract on the house, we would be looking for someone, maybe 2 to join myself and Daniel in a 3 or 4 way contract in the house? This should work out about Â£400pcm each, with the possiblity of getting a 4th housemate to reduce it even more?
We would ideally be looking for someone to join in the contract and, this would mean they would need to own a share of the deposit and also incur a credit check (Â£50 fee from our estate agent).
