I am a final year (music) PhD student and i have a room available in my 2 bed flat from 1/8/14, which i desperately need to fill. The rent is £412. 50 p. c. m., and no deposit is required. I rent the flat directly from the landlord, and so no agency is involved. Bills come to around £100 each per month - this includes water, gas, electricity, broadband and landline.
The flat is modern and very smart in a purpose-built block on Northlands Road. It has gas central heating, off-road parking, a very large lounge-diner, a very nice kitchen and bathroom with shower-over-bath (both fairly new), and is on the ground floor, with a terrace (and of course the lawn outside the flat), which gets sun most of the day. The kitchen includes a washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and large gas hob. The room available is a furnished double room, with a large amount of built-in storage. There is also a little bit of storage room in a lockable garage. Parking is mostly unallocated, and therefore there is normally plenty of room to park off the road, but various parts of Northlands road (including right outside the flat) are unrestricted in terms of parking.
The flat was unfurnished, but i have basically furnished it myself, so no other furniture is required. I also have everything anyone could ever need in the way of crockery and kitchen equipment etc.. However, i should mention that within the next 12 months or so i will be looking to move out (upon completion of PhD and purchase of my own property). Naturally, my belongings, including those in the spare room, will come with me.
I have a visitor cat who spends quite a lot of time here, although he is not technically mine!
I should mention that i would like to live with someone who is prepared to keep communal areas clean and tidy. I do not mind whether prospective tenants are students or professionals, but i would rather not live with a couple.
