Nice Furnished Double Room Near Winchester Centre

Hi all, so it's a 2 bedroom in Winchester. The flat's a bit of a find that I've rented from the landlord for a few years. It's in a safe area (near the West Gate and the Great Hall with the Round table if that helps place it), 10 mins walk from the town centre. It'd probably suit people who are here either short term or long term, or who don't know.

It's ideal for anyone based at IBM Hursley (where I started as a software engineer a few years ago), as we're by a bus stop from where a bus to Hursley takes 10-15 minutes. It's also ideal for anyone working at Arqiva. Also 5-10mins walk from Winchester railway station, from where you can get to Waterloo in a little over an hour. Also well placed for commuting to Southampton.

We've been splitting everything equally which makes it 450pm plus bills (currently electricity / gas / water / broadband / council tax / tv license / cleaner). The last time I checked, all bills came to about 150 per month per person.

It's a furnished medium sized room including a double bed with quilt and bed linen, two wardrobes (one outside the room), chest of drawers, a large desk with chair, a comfy chair and a computer flatscreen monitor+nice keyboard+mouse. At the moment the Ikea wardrobe is in the room and the nice pine wardrobe is in the hall for hanging up coats. No problem if you'd like to have the nice pine wardrobe in the room and we can have the Ikea wardrobe in the hall :-). In the living room there's a large chest of drawers and a large set of standalone shelves, which we can share.

In the living room there's an iron, ironing board and drying rack which we can share. Also, in the kitchen there's a large drying rack which can be lowered up and down (the flat has high ceilings).

There are speakers (old but good sound quality) in the kitchen and living room for plugging in a mobile phone/laptop etc.

The flat comes with a parking space, which is available as I don't have a car. In the living room there's space for a bicycle if you have one.

Ok, what can I say about me... I enjoy spending time with family, cooking big meals, trying new restaurants, exercise especially swimming, playing with my little godaughter, museums and comedy. I backpacked round the world as a student and ever since I've loved going to interesting places on vacation. Also pretty keen on just crashing out in front of the TV :-). I guess I should mention something about work... in a previous life I was a lecturer and scientist. Oh and I'm English with some Italian ancestry, and speak varying amounts of (probably very bad) Italian, German and Mandarin.
