About the Housemates:
We are looking for a new housemate between 23-37 years old to move into our home with us. We have been living here for four and a half years on a yearly renewable contract and we are looking for a person to sign up to our contract on the property. We are looking for a laid back and sociable individual who is reliable, responsible and clean. We must have someone who will pay their share of the bills on time as soon as the money is needed. We are looking for people who like socialising with us, rather than just being a typical lodger who just lives at the property.
We are looking for someone to move in around the 1st March - date needs to be agreed with Katie who is moving out.
We are three males, Louis, 33, Ben, 25 and Rich, 23 and one female, Aimee, 31. Katie has got a new job in a different county which is unfortunately why she is moving on and which is why we are looking for a replacement. We are all professionals. Aimee, Ben and Rich work 9-5 M-F, and Louis does shift work. One of us smokes, but only outside in the garden.
We have a beautiful dog called George. He is a 4 1/2 year old golden cocker spaniel and loves people. The person who moves in must love dogs :)
About the House:
The house consists of 3 floors. On the bottom floor there is the self contained studio flat which is up for grabs here!! It consists of an open plan lounge/bedroom, a kitchen with mircowave, oven/hob, sink, fridge/freezer and washing machine. The flat has its own bathroom with a shower. The flat comes with a wardrobe but is otherwise unfurnished!
On top of the flat is the house. It consists of a large kitchen, large lounge, small spare room/study, 4 bedrooms, a bathroom (there is no bath in the house!) and a reasonable size garden with patio, decking, grassed area and shed. The main house is there to be used by the new housemate too and we welcome someone who wants to socialise with us. Although saying that the flat is also good if you want to spend some time alone.
We have a drive for two cars and we live just outside of the permit parking zone so parking is free along our road and readily available. We live exactly one mile out of town and so is easily walkable. The nearest pub is The Black Boy which is a 10-15 minute walk away. We have wireless internet and Sky TV with the Movies package. There are TV aerial points in the rooms.
Room rent per month: £430
Council Tax per month: £40
Electric and Gas per month (estimation): £25
Water per month (estimation): £10
Sky and Internet per month: £11. 50
Line Rental per month (estimation): £2. 50
£520 estimated average total/month
(Obviously other bills will crop up over the year like TV Licence etc.)
We have a rental contract with Personal Homefinders for this property. This means that you will need to pay a reference fee to them of approx. £200 and a deposit of approx. £465. You will then be on our contract with us and the contract renewal date is 26th June 2013. This is a rolling contract so we can keep renting the property for as long as we like. If you want to leave before the contract renewal date you will need to pay Personal Homefinders a “get-out” fee which I believe is about £300, which is why we are looking for someone who wants to stay until the renewal date.
