Double Room St Albans
Hi everyone,
We are three girls living in St Albans right on London Road, who have a free double room in our lovely house, which is only a couple minutes walk from the town centre. We moved into the house in February 2013 and are looking for a fourth person to complete our home (guy or girl we don't mind!) We are hoping to have someone in by the 8th of June but we realise that may be rather unlikely now so I think for us its more about finding the right person so if you need to move quite soon or need to give a months notice please get in contact with us!
We are all social girls, who like doing things as a house having dinner, going out, off to the pub etc but happy to respect personal space and boundaries.
A little bit about the house. We have three floors - the spare room will be on the top floor and it is unfurnished. It is a good size, can fit a double bed wardrobe etc and then we have a box room on the top floor as well for storage. The rest of the house is furnished - saying that feel free to add anything you may have as the house is still a slight work in progress by way of furniture. We have two bedrooms on the middle floor, one bathroom and downstairs a living room and kitchen with a small garden outside. Parking wise - for any of you that know St Albans its notoriously known for bad parking - we have restricted areas outside the house 8. 30am to 6. 30pm so when you work 9-5 you can get away with it, other than that I park in the esso garage next door (it has no fuel for the next 5 months) and its absolutely fine or their are unrestricted roads a few minutes away so you can really take your pick.
The bills come to about £105 a month which includes Council Tax, Gas, Electricity, Water & Sewerage, 120Gb Broadband and Virgin Media TiVo services. Some months it is lower than this - the only one that varies is British Gas.
Requirements from us (sorry boring stuff):
For you to be a similar age and a working professional.
For you to participate in cleaning on a rota and to pay bills and rent on time.
To be respectful of working hours etc
To be a fourth member of our joint bank account to pay bills etc.
To be able to pay the deposit etc
Please note there is an up front charge of £290 to become a registered tenant with the letting agency for a minimum contract of 6 months. Aside from the charge the first month's rent and 1. 5 months worth of deposit is also required to move in. This means the total amount required up front is at most £1327. 50. £622. 50 of the above figure is returnable at the end of the tenancy provided the condition of the property remains intact.
