Furnished double room to let in a 3-bedroom terraced house in a quiet road in leafy Beckenham. Lots of space and great value compared with central London accommodation.

Beckenham has a buzzy suburban village feel with lots of green spaces. Ideal if you work in Central London but don't want to live there or pay expensive hotel bills every week. It only takes 20-30 minutes to 'get into town' on the train, via Victoria, Charing Cross or London Bridge mainline stations, or DLR.

The property is situated a short walk to Clock House, Kent House & Beckenham Junction stations for easy commuting, also near bus and tram stops. Walking distance to Beckenham High Street with shops, cafés, bars and restaurants. You can walk to the local cinema, spa and parks, and it's a short trip to the major shopping centres of Croydon and Bromley (with the Churchill Theatre).

You'll have your own double bedroom with portable TV and wifi, and share the lounge/dining room with widescreen TV, bathroom, kitchen, utility / breakfast room and rear garden. On-street parking is available at a cost of £45 per year (payable to the council) or £2. 50 per day for visitor vouchers (limited supply).

The room has been redecorated recently, and is not as green as it looks in the photo! The bed and the shower are both fairly new.

Previous Monday to Friday lodgers are happy to give a reference if required, to tell you what it's like living here.

The rent will be £425 per month for a short-term let or a couple. If it's just one person, then £375 per month. Bills included (except landline). Bargain!
