Spacious flatshare, 1 room, Margate/Cliftonville

Hello! One of our housemates liked Margate so much that they've just bought their own place and are moving out, and so...

I have one room to rent in a lovely late-victorian flat (over 2.5 floors, feels more like a house) in a quiet no through road in Margate/Cliftonville, near Dane Park. It is situated 5 mins walk from the main bus routes and local shopping area and 2 mins drive from the seafront/main town centre. There isn't any off-street parking but, being a no-through road, there is nearly always space and it's quiet.

The room is a nice-sized double (4m x 3.3m), on the top floor. There is also a spacious open plan kitchen/diner with all the usual amenities, lots of cupboard space; a lounge with working open fireplace; and bathroom/WC with both a free-standing bath and large walk-in shower.

I'm Geoff. I work full-time days, Monday to Friday. Outside of work, I am into music (have a little studio in my room) and spending time with my son, 3, who lives in the flat below with his mother. Katherine, the other housemate, is 25 and makes jewellery for a living and is involved in the local art community. Helen, who lives downstairs, is also a local artist. It'd therefore suit a working housemate 25 - 40, male or female (with a lean towards a female preference), who is looking for a longterm home and someone of a creative bent would obviously be ideal, or at least has a hobby/passion of some sort. But, whatever - as long as you're sociable and looking for good friends as well as housemates, you'll fit right in!

There are four cats that live between this flat and the flat downstairs, altho they spend most of their time downstairs or outside these days and the food/litter tray is downstairs, but just to let you know that we may get the occasional visitor! They're lovely cats and very friendly.

All bills are covered, including council tax. Household chores we kinda sort out as we go along. There's no deposit as such, but one month's rent is required in advance, paid on moving in.

There is broadband available and subscriptions to Amazon Prime and Netflix etc if you want to use them (no Sky etc tho).
