Beautiful sunny double room in Tunbridge Wells

I have a large, quiet, sunny double room available in a lovely Victorian 3-storey end-of-terrace house, 10 minutes' walk from Tunbridge Wells town centre and the station

The room is fully furnished, newly decorated and comfortable, overlooking the front garden in a well maintained home. It's on the first floor and is a good size, approx 360cm x 360cm. Furnishings include double bed with new mattress, dressing table with mirror, 2 double built in wardrobes and generous shelving. There's a connection & bracket for a flatscreen tv but you would need to supply your own tv.

Next to the room is a shared bathroom, plus on the same floor a separate shared shower room with toilet. There is an additional toilet & washbasin downstairs.

On the ground floor, the spacious kitchen/dining area includes dishwasher, fridge-freezer with space in the fridge for your use, and range-style cooker. Reasonable use of washing machine and tumble dryer is included and for summer time there's a rotary clothes dryer to use in the garden.

The cosy sitting room has a big bay window and wood-burning stove and faces the front garden. There are two comfy sofas, tv etc

At the front of the house is a car parking space/front garden and at the back a small, sunny garden with lawn, flowerbeds, terrace with seating, parasol etc and a little pond with goldfish. The garden is very secluded. The rooms at the back of the house have views over nearby gardens.

If you have a bike we have room to store this securely by the side of the house, or if more security is required there is a small cellar.

The house is located in a quiet residential street 10 minutes' walk from High Brooms mainline station with fast trains to London and the coast. Parking is easy and free on the street outside. There are small local shops, coffee bars and pubs 10 minutes' walk away and Tunbridge Wells town centre, with larger shops, restaurants and TW mainline station, is also 10-15 minutes' walk away. We are close to two beautiful parks with some sports facilities and TW Sports Centre is 20 minutes walk away. There is a gym within 10 minutes' walk and there are lots of books in the house if you like reading.

The accommodation is for a single, non-smoking professional with a regular job (No dual occupancy). Also suitable for anyone working night shifts (eg nurse/doctor) as we are very quiet and usually out at work during the daytime

References are essential and the accommodation is not suitable for couples. Minimum stay is one month. One month's rent deposit plus a month's rent is requested in advance to secure. Rent is payable monthly. We ask that you give one month's notice of leaving.

Rent is paid monthly and includes gas, electricity, water, council tax & wifi broadband.

Delicious home cooking is available at extra cost by arrangement if required.

We also speak French, German and some Spanish and i am a qualified teacher willing to offer English by arrangement at extra cost.

We are a quiet, friendly family with grown up kids, one of whom is currently living at home when not at Uni. We would love to welcome you into our home.
