A pleasant, sunny, en-suite room (Wifi & bills included) looking out over the garden and fields beyond.

A barn conversion in Deeping St Nicholas, 4 miles south of Spalding towards Peterborough.

Peterborough is about 20 minutes drive away; Spalding is 5 minutes drive. Cycling into Spalding takes about 20 minutes.

We are professional people and all work long hours so we don't see much of one another. However, we are all very friendly and respectful of each other's space.

The room is a single room - clean and bright with original wooden beams. It has a wardrobe, chest of drawer and a wall-mounted TV on a swivel arm.

The bed is a 3/4 double with a deep mattress designed for a great night’s sleep.

We are next to the church so be prepared for the sound of bell ringing on Sunday and when they practice on Tuesday evenings. It is nice to have a lie-in on Sunday reading the papers in bed with the sound of the church bells coming in through the window, though.

The floor in the room itself is solid wood, and in the bathroom, it's tiled so keeping it clean is easy.

The Kitchen Diner is a large, L shaped room with a big range gas cooker, a dishwasher and a big American fridge, so do feel free to cook as much as you want.

Off the kitchen is the boot-room with washing machine and dryer for you to use.

The snug is there if you want to watch TV downstairs. It has an open log fire and a wall-mounted, flat-screen TV.

There is plenty of off-street parking here and the garden is quite big too.

The garden needs some work and we are doing that at the moment. It's plenty big enough that if you wanted to have a go at growing your own fruit or vegetables whilst you are here, you are more than welcome.

We have a huge mature apple tree, very productive elderberry trees and blackberry bushes, so again, if you fancy making apple crumble or elderberry cordial, please help yourself.

I sometimes buy sacks of potatoes and onions for everyone to use, plus you can always help yourself to the tea, coffee and sugar, herbs & spices.

This is a country house, large and quiet; fairly quintessentially English. We all like living very cleanly and tidily together so everyone makes sure they clean up after themselves quickly; that way nobody has the inconvenience of working around somebody else’s mess. For us, it's very important that the next person living here wants to live in a clean, tidy environment.

We have a cleaner who comes in once a week to give the communal areas a hoover and dust.

This is definitely no party-house, we are professional adults but we do like to have people around the place. The house is certainly large enough that nobody gets in anybody else's way. Our hobby at the moment is gardening; we aren't that good at it but we keep trying.
