Huge Double Room in a Cozy Modern Maisonette

I am looking for a new roommate to share this lovely maisonette as my current roommate is leaving our place to be closer from work. The room is available asap.

I am a 25-year-old young professional working in the field of international relations. I am a half French and half Italian female who moved to London in October 2014 after finishing my Master's degree in New York City. So far, I have really enjoyed living here!

The maisonette is located approximately 10mins from Canada Water tube station and 5 mins from Surrey Quays overground station. It's a minute away from the docks, which is a lovely area to run/walk or just relax during the weekends. The flat is also ideally located near a commercial centre that offers easy access to Tesco, the cinema, bowling, restaurants... Another Tesco express is located about 4 minutes away, while the local gym - overlooking the water - is located 2 mins away from the house. The neighborhood is calm and quiet with many young professionals living in the area. If you enjoy being close to the city - the jubilee line will take you right to London in about 20 minutes - but do enjoy a quiet place after work and during the weekends, it's an ideal place with an amazing location near the docks and easy access to parks. It's close to both Canada Water and Surrey Quays.

The maisonette is split over two floors. The entry floor has the large room (your room), the bathroom, and a separate toilet just across the big room. The big room is approximately 18 square meters, fully furnished, with a bookshelf, a wardrobe, two large chests with 5 drawers, a night stand and a double bed.

The second floor is where my room, the living room, and the kitchen are. The living room is combined with the Kitchen and is fully equipped. The stove and oven were recently replaced and the wash machine is in excellent condition. The vibe is very cozy so that we can enjoy spending time in the common area. The broadband is already installed, and there is great coverage throughout the house.

There is storage place both in the large bedroom and outside the house (with a separate key). The house does not have it's own parking area but there are a lot parking spaces on the street if you need parking.

I speak French, English, and Italian. I have previously lived in France, Italy, Spain, the US, and South Africa. I am a friendly person who enjoys good company. While I would like to have a roommate to have a nice chat with, I also would like someone who respects personal space. I am quite tidy but not over the top. I love going on walks, discovering new areas, going to the gym, and absolutely love traveling.

My ideal roommate would be someone friendly and easy-going, but also someone who enjoys down-time without having to bring the party over on a daily basis.

The cost of the room/monnth is 800GBP plus amenities, which comes down to approximately 900GBP/ month with the Council Tax. The deposit is 1000 pounds.
