Double Room in Clapham South (Couple Ideally)

Hello!

We have one spacious double room with en-suite available in the house from 25th June, which we ideally would like to fill with a couple.

While five people may seem like a lot, the house is large and it's rare to get everyone at home at the same time. So if you want somewhere with a homely feel, where there is usually someone home to hang out with, then you're looking in the right place. The living room can accommodate five people easily and there's the conservatory if you want some space to read, do some work, work out or whatever else you feel like. The back garden is also available and perfect for a breakfast in the sunshine once the weather gets warmer.

All of us came to the house as strangers, so we have all been where you are now, looking at ads and hoping to find somewhere nice. Most weekdays you will find us in the living room or kitchen chatting away. We are a social house, we go out to the pub together, we've had dinner parties, Sunday roasts, gone on road trips, to Serbian festivals and even the odd weekend to Dublin. So although we started as strangers, we are all really good friends. Our heavy party days are mostly behind us so we would prefer someone who is similar. This doesn't mean we don't like a drink, or a good party though!

The place is located off street in a gated development of 5 houses, close to local amenities (bars, restaurants on Abbeville Road), approximately 8 minute walk to Clapham South tube station and with a bus stop literally around the corner serving Clapham Common / Junction and Brixton.

*** Finally, common question, the bills come in at £85 per month into a house account that covers all bills, we also have a cleaner who comes once a week, that is £30 which we take in turns to pay. ***

We usually have a huge amount of interest in the house. Therefore, please only respond if you are willing to tell us a bit about you. Whenever we have advertised rooms in the past we receive many mails from people who are clean, sociable and tidy, and while those are traits we definitely want in our new housemate your response won't stand out in the crowd if you don't tell us a bit more about yourself. It's really important to us to find someone who is a good fit in the house.
