Double room in leafy Highbury

Hi there!

We have a gorgeous double room for rent in our lovely 3-story townhouse in Highbury. We live on a quiet little street with family idyllic but superb party connections!

We are 3 professionals (2 girls, 1 boy) in our early 30s. Most of us work in creative fields – architecture, writing – but won’t judge you terribly if you’re into computers or banks. We like to hang out together sometimes and watch a show or share a bottle of wine, but usually tend to do our own things.

The room is the smallest of the house, which means it’s snuggly warm during all seasons (read: year-round British winter). It sits on the top floor and has a lovely green view of the little parky area behind our house. It has a double bed, two bedside tables with drawer space, a dresser and a standing wardrobe, with plenty of floor space for push-ups, planking, dancing.

We have a galley kitchen with a microwave, stove and oven and all sorts of great kitchen utensils (pizza cutter? Check). There are 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one upstairs with a bath and a loo, one on the ground floor with a shower and loo), a lovely bright lounge with a dining area that opens into the garden, loads of stairs and a sturdy front door. The house was recently renovated and we have super high speed internet (50mbps!). We also have a washing machine with a 2-hour washing program and a 30minute mini cycle. We even have an ironing board. The ceilings are high and the water piping hot.

Bills come to about GBP 90 per month. Deposit is 6 weeks rent. The room is GBP 785 – a steal in this crazy, crazy city!

The area, should you not know it already, is perfectly convenient. Stoke Newington, Dalston, Shoreditch, Angel, Hackney, Kings Cross, (Holloway? Sure) – all an easy stroll away and the overground or a bike will take you to Camden and beyond in mere minutes. The Victoria line is just 10 min down the road and there's even a bus that will take you straight to Waterloo! Highbury Fields is around the corner and will entertain you with sunny day BBQs, tennis fields and a gym – brilliant fun for all!
