Double room availiable in our 3 bed house

Our housemate Saya has finished her PhD and is moving on, so we have a reasonably-priced double room going in a quiet, leafy, secluded cul-de-sac in the up-and-coming heart of Holloway!

You'd be sharing with 2 guys - architect and book distributor/musician respectively - who are looking for someone who will fit in with the relaxed but considerate feel of the place: if you're also a creative sort that would be ideal but not essential. We mainly get on with our own interests and social lives, but it's a friendly flatshare and we often catch up at weekends to watch a film and share a bottle of wine. The house is a couple of streets back from the junction of Camden Road/Holloway Road (but with none of the noise), a short walk away from the many boutiquey shops, cafes and restaurants on Holloway Road which run the gamut from organic vegan to, well....pies. And of course Selby's, Holloway's answer to Selfridges! Utterly spoilt for supermarkets as well, with a big Waitrose and even bigger Morrison's 5 minutes away and more local Sainsburys and Tescos than you can shake a stick at. If you're familiar with this area you'll have already guessed it's extremely well-served by public transport with many buses going in the direction of Camden/West End and along Holloway Road towards Islington, plus you've got Holloway Road tube 10 minutes away by foot and Highbury & Islington tube/overground nearby. There’s the 254 and 393 busses in the direction of Hackney and Stokey too.

The room is a nice, bright double-size looking onto the back garden, the rest of the house is nicely and eclectically furnished – mostly by our resident artisan craftsman, Jeremy - but anything you have to add to the space is welcome. There’s also an off-street parking space behind the house, or if you cycle then it’s fine to stash your bike indoors.

Rent is £686/calendar month (equally divided). We’re signing a new 12-month contract soon though this isn’t necessarily binding to any individual tenant who might need to move. The usual basic checks and references will be needed but nothing time-consuming and the landlord is understanding about freelance/self-employed earnings.

The move in date is pretty flexible, our new contract starts on the 27th of May but on agreement with our land lord we can accommodate as earlier.
