Double room available in a lovely bright and spacious flat in leafy Tufnell Park.

The above-bed, like a loft bed, gives the room a living room feel (see photos).

There's a garden (shared with two other flats, who hardly ever use it).

It's me (47), the flat owner, and my 10 year old daughter (plus our cat Totoro and our hamster Elou!)

After working in the contemporary art world for 18 years, I had a career change so am renting out the room while finding my way as a child counsellor.

My daughter (10) and I are very sociable, sometimes welcoming friends over, sometimes visiting friends, but also loving hanging out at home.

Home is a spacious 4 roomed flat, which includes the kitchen living room, 2 bedrooms (with my daughter in a contained loft bed in my room - we have high ceilings) and a bright and clean bathroom.

Tufnell Park and Kentish Town tube stations (both Northern Line) are 10-15 minutes walk away and Caledonian Road (Piccadilly) is a 15-20 minute walk away.

There are many bus routes around here, going from Holloway Road (17 and 43 to London Bridge / Islington and Angel); Camden Road (29 to Tottenham Court Road) and also Brecknock Road (390 to Notting Hill via Kings Cross and Oxford Street), all 5-10 mins walk away.

Tufnell Park has so many lovely amenities: a Turkish fruit and veg shop (also a deli), unique restaurants (the Ethiopian serves delicious curries) and there's Ruby Violet's (the best ice-cream hang out ever). Plus a yoga / Pilates studio and a beauty parlour.
