Single room to let in Walthamstow in an attractively modernised 1898 flat, in a quiet street, overlooking the charming Lloyd Park. Walthamstow Central (10-12 min walk) is on the Victoria Line, which will get you to Oxford Circus in 20 mins, passing through useful interchanges like Kings Cross/St Pancras and Victoria. The Overground runs regularly to Liverpool St, taking just 14 mins, as well as to other destinations.
I’m not going to lie – the room is small, which is why it would best suit someone who needs a place Monday-Friday but lives elsewhere (or had a lifestyle which meant they would often be away.) That said, the room is very light and has a lovely view of the park. Also, the shared space in the lounge and sunny kitchen means you have room to relax. There is also access to the rear garden.
Between the station and my house there are a plethora of shops and cafes, along with a huge street market and some nice pubs. In the very pleasant Walthamstow Village there are more upmarket restaurants and gastropubs. There's a new 9-screen Empire cinema, and great pubs with live music, theatre and comedy - so although it’s not Soho or Shoreditch, you don’t have to be at a loss to do anything locally in the evenings.
It’s a generally relaxed and safe neighbourhood. And the award-winning William Morris Gallery is right outside the door, in the park, where there are a couple of cafes.
I am a creative in the film industry and often work from home. I’m looking for someone considerate and adaptable who would not only be a reliable rent payer but also pleasant company to have around and share my home with.
