Live in a former golden triangle dairy!

We have one huge double room available in a newly refurbished Victorian house that's full of character and in a great location - less than five minutes walk to the centre of the city. The house is surrounded by great amenities - there are two supermarkets, a bakery, a butcher, several cafes, a post office, and a great local pub on our doorstep, with all of the city centre pubs and bars within a few minutes stroll, plus there's a bus stop opposite the house that goes direct to the UEA and the Hospital.

The room is large (approx. 4m x 5m) and comes furnished with a double bed + brand new quality mattress, a triple wardrobe, bedside tables, and wall mounted LCD TV. The room has just been refurbished, being newly painted and with brand new carpet.

The house has a lot of history, it was a former family run dairy throughout the 1900s and even has a display in the Bridewell Museum! There's plenty of space in the house, large rooms throughout and has three bathrooms. We've just redecorated the living areas and there's brand new furniture and carpets. There is lots of outside space at the front and back of the house. There's a covered area that is great for safe and dry bike storage.

Included in the rent are all of the bills, including full Virgin Media TV package with sports and movies in the lounge (own box available in the bedrooms for a small monthly charge), as well as the fastest available fibre optic broadband (200mpbs). The kitchen was also recently installed and has all new appliances, including fan oven, gas hob, fridge/ freezer, and washing machine.

As for us, we're a professional couple aged 31 and 32. We've not long returned to Norwich having spent some time travelling. I'm a civil engineer and Jo's just started a new career following her passion for wine. We're a sociable couple and we've spent several years both in house shares and with lodgers. We appreciate good quality food and drink, whether we're enjoying it at home or out in the city. We know Norwich very well so can give some good advice if you're new to the area.

We've been in the house for about 18 months and have always had lodgers. Our longest serving housemate has just moved out to live with his partner and we're looking to get a new housemate into the vacant room. We regularly get together with our housemates for dinner and drinks, and regularly frequent the Reindeer pub for a Sunday roast!
