Double Room, commuter village btwn York & Leeds

We live in a good sized house in a small country village midway between York & Leeds just off A64. The house has 3 x Reception Rooms + Dining Room and Conservatory so there is plenty of room.

The house has a large 1/3 acre garden, extra garage space for another car and is in a a fantastic village.

We would include use of wifi and have Sky + Sky Sport s& BT Sport. All bills would be included with rent

We have two empty double bedrooms and are looking to bring in someone to share, ideally who is looking for a shorter term option. We are open to couples but prefer one person. You could make use of one of the rooms for storage if you are moving out of your own place. The only "downside" is that neither bedroom is fully furnished. We could look to source a double bed if you don't have one of your own. But, we do have a dresser, desk, and end tables you can use.

We have two dogs who have the run of the downstairs but not upstairs where the rooms are. No smoking inside allowed but if you are a smoker, outside is okay.

Although it is the two of us, I (the wife) work down south during the week and sometimes over weekends so there is space for you to make your own without feeling too crammed in with others.

It is a really great community with a good mix of people of all ages and very social. The pub is the heart of the village with events, weekly quiz, and only £1. 80 a pint which is what sold my husband on the house. I love the fact that it feels like the country but is only 4m from town (Tascaster) and 15 from York centre. Good for commuting to Leeds, York & Harrogate.

We are fairly easy going. In spare time we walk dogs, cook, watch tv/films, and mostly spend time at the pub. We are not desperate to find someone to join us so will wait for the right person but everyone who moves to this village never wants to leave.
