Rooms To Rent

Hi we are a family with two children aged 2 and 5. They are well behaved and go to bed at 7pm and stay in bed until 7 am so do not cause any bother in the evenings. However on this note we require quiet housemates who will respect the children are in bed and not wake them. We have a large 5 bed detached house in a quiet area of strensall. If you want peace we have it. we have a conservatory with a pool table and tv in. A lounge with a log burner, a nice garden, room for parking, we have 2 kitchens (well one is a utility room but it bigger than most kitchens and has its own cooker and fridge freezer and sink in so is basically another kitchen). There is an office area for studying. We enjoy cooking in the evenings socialising over wine and relaxing in front of the tv. No hectic lifestyle. At weekends we like to go on bike rides, swimming, shopping and for meals. We enjoy meeting new people. We are on a good bus route. The bus stop is 2 mins walk from the house and comes every 15 mins and takes approx. 20 mins to get into York city centre/station. The buses run til midnight. In strensall we have a library (part of York library) a butchers, hairdressers, garage, petrol station, post office and most importantly 3 x pubs (one sam smiths- nice and cheap- and one that does REALLY nice food) Our ideal flatmate would be someone respectful to the fact we work and have children so not a party animal that would wake us all up but someone who likes a quiet easy life and wants to enjoy the odd meal, coffee, wine etc although of course we all like our own space at times also so we will not pester you!!! We have 2 bedrooms one double (at the moment there is also a single bed in there as we have been hosting-it looks like a twin room in the pictures but it is a double bed) and one single (bunk beds) Both rooms have a desk, drawers, wardrobe, bedside table and lamp and I think are decorated nicely. We have wifi, and sky tv. I am a veterinary nurse and my husband is a Branch manager. We have been working as a host family and taking in lodgers for 7 years and think we are friendly, easy going and welcoming people. Get in touch if we sound like what you are looking for.
