Nice double bedroom in very modern terrace

Hi there,

A double room will soon be available in a very nice and modern terraced house in south bank.

I have lived in this house for just over a year with my housemate, but unfortunately he has decided to move on from York. The house has two bedrooms, both of equal size and one of them will be available from 16 June.

The house is genuinely very nice, previously the landlord lived here so it's been decorated and fitted out accordingly. When I originally found this house, I must have viewed over a dozen properties in South Bank and this was the nicest by a mile. It's about 20-25 mins walk into town, although I do this everyday so it's not too bad.

The property was originally totally unfurnished, however it is now furnished with my furniture and electrical goods which obviously I have no problem with being used. The bedroom which is on offer is unfurnished so a bed and bedroom furniture will be required. The room does come with a built in wardrobe.

In terms of the contract, the situation is that whoever moves in and I will both sign a new 6 month rolling contract subject to satisfactory references etc, and will both have equal responsibility for the place.

On top of the rent, Council tax is approx £55 and there are various other bills I would be looking to share. These include broadband and line rental, TV license, and obviously water and gas/electric. I have just cancelled a ridiculously comprehensive Sky+ package but can sign up again if you're interested and want to split the costs.

A bit about me; I'm a very average professional male, 27 years old. I work 9 to 5 strictly speaking, however I work quite a lot more than this and frequently work late, so there's plenty of access to the lounge and TV etc. I'm easy going, but it would be nice to have someone who is prepared to give the place a quick hoover and clean every now and again - nothing too major I'm not obsessive.
