The specifics:

One non-smoking Monday to Friday professional male lodger sought:
- Double room = £350 + £200 deposit
- Daytime professional only (no shift workers).
- Monday night to Friday morning only. No reductions for shorter weeks as I would be unable to rent the room the remainder of the time.
- No couples.
- Lovely 1930s detached house in a quiet area of Kingsley near to the racecourse NN2.
- Must like dogs. Home owner has a very friendly seven-year-old black Schnauzer-cross terrier.

* This is a part-time commuter house-share with the owner. Suitable only for Monday to Friday lodger who have a home elsewhere to return to at the weekends. No couples or shift workers.

Detached 1930s house with new kitchen late 2016 and lovely roll-top original bath with shower. Prices include usual bills (gas, electricity, council tax etc.) and some supplies (see below).

DOUBLE ROOM (Monday to Friday only):
- Spacious first-floor double bedroom with new king-size mattress.
- Views to rear of property overlooking gardens
- Freeview TV (which can connect to a computer) with separate DVD player
- Amazon Echo Dot ('Alexa')
- solid pine bedside chests of drawers, double wardrobe and bookcase (with books!)
- Ikea white fold-out desk and chair.
£350 pcm inc. bills and some food (see below).

NB. These are Monday to Friday lettings only, suitable for anyone working in Northampton during the week with a permanent home elsewhere, i. e. a commuter looking for a 'home from home'.

The price quoted includes all usual bills (gas, electricity, council tax) as well as laundry (bedding / towels changed fortnightly), shower gel, toilet rolls, tissues, teas, coffee, milk, sugar, bread, butter, jams, cereals... so you only need to provide your own main meals. A real home from home.

This 1930s detached house is near to the racecourse / golf course in the Kingsley area, north of Northampton (NN2, c. 20 minutes walk to town centre). Ideal for University of Northampton, Moulton Park, Brackmills and Lodge Farm Industrial Estates. See footer for bus routes.

Situated with views over green and Kingsthorpe golf course, in quiet cul-de-sac style location, within easy reach of Kingsley Park Terrace (Kettering Road) and Kingsthorpe shopping areas, and near the old racecourse, Abington Park and the cricket ground. On University of Northampton bus route, situated between both campuses - see below for bus details.

Sharing house with owner (50's female, full-time home-based hence non-shiftwork lodgers requested) and her very friendly and well-behaved seven-year-old black terrier, so you must like dogs.

The house has many of the original 1936 features (picture rails, pine floorboards, white / glass doors) throughout the house. Combi-boiler fed power-shower over original roll-top bath (with feet and new shower screen - see photo). Downstairs w/c with sink. Sky wifi broadband internet. Dedicated storage space in kitchen. New kitchen fitted 2016 with new gas cooker, dishwasher, fridge / freezer and washing machine. New high-quality (Vaillant) boiler installed Nov 2017.

Parking available for one car (plus the homeowner’s) on the driveway plus another on the road outside the house. There is also plenty on the opposite side of the road and around the green.

Communal lounge, with usual facilities inc. flat screen 3D HD Freeview TV, Sky+ HD wifi box and Blu ray DVD player.

The official bit:
* £350 for the double room - Monday to Friday only - payable promptly each calendar month in advance from the date you move in.
* £200 deposit - required upon confirmation to hold the room. One month payment required upon moving in.
* Email contact please with details of your profession and intended length of stay. Current residents 40s/50s so ideally of a similar age.
* Business reference (e. g. your employer) and ID (passport or driving licence - original not copy) required upon confirmation / viewing, i. e. prior to you moving in. The room is not guaranteed (and will continue to be advertised) until this step has been completed and a standard SpareRoom contract signed.

Please note: This is a Monday to Friday letting only for single occupancy. It is not suitable if you want a room full-time or if you work night shifts as I work from home during the day. Thank you.

The nearest bus stops are Kingsley Road (2 minute-walk) and Kingsley Park Terrace/Kettering Road (5-minute walk). Town Centre or Moulton Park c. 10 minute journey by bus.

Kingsley Road (Murray Road stop): no. 19 Town Centre / Sixfields via Park Campus or no. 4 Sunnyside to Town Centre.

Kingsley Park Terrace (St Matthew's stop): no. 2 Town Centre / Rectory Farm, no. 8 Town Centre / Rectory Farm, no. 58 Town Centre / Moulton, no. 39 Town Centre / Kettering (via Moulton), no. 10 Town Centre to Spinney Hill, no. 7 Town Centre to Moulton Park.
