I have a large double room that I would like to rent to a professional person. My house is detached and is quite large: two living rooms, large kitchen with dishwasher/ brand new washing machine. I have Wifi broadband, but no Sky - I am not a big TV watcher.

The house was fully renovated a few years ago, so up to date kitchen and bathroom, but still some original features (like the open fires). Also I have a driveway with room for two cars. There is a large garden, if you have green fingers that would be great, as I don't!

The room, is east facing and has a bay window it is large and sunny (when we actually have sunshine). The floor is stripped and varnished and there is plenty of room / storage. The room also has a TV aerial connection. Although there is no en suite you will only be sharing the bathroom with me. There is also a downstairs toilet. Ideal house for a person who is clean and tidy and looking for a home to retreat to at the end of a busy day.

I am a university lecturer and the house is stuffed with books. I travel a lot and also enjoy photography. Be great if you are a veggie / or only eat fish- but if not don't worry, I have worked around this before.

I have a cat - he is friendly, but only been here a few months, so is still finding his feet.

Rothwell is just off the A14, and on the bus routes (bus every 20 mins) to Kettering and Market Harborough.
