THE HOUSE

A popular, quiet, non- smoking house - a large Victorian mansion with lots of original features, plenty of character and a wonderful garden. It has a very leafy outlook yet is only a short walk (10mins) into town/ train station. Bus stop into town just around corner. The new sports and fitness centre with swimming pool and gym, is a 5 min walk down the road. The house is set in a conservation area with lots of trees and birdsong.

There are 9 rooms set over three floors with two shared kitchens and two bathrooms. The house is very quiet, friendly, strictly non-smoking and with working professionals.

It is a peaceful and unique place to live. Once you step through the gate after a busy shift at work, you feel like you have left the bustle behind and entered a different zone. Some people enjoy their time here so much they have returned for a second, third and even a fourth stay! The majority of housemates stay for on average 2 years or more with the record being nearly 8 years and counting! People like the original features and the unique qualities of the house. They also like the space and atmosphere. It's the kind of place you can really feel at home in.

THE ROOM

This lovely spacious room is on the second floor, overlooking the back garden. It is fully furnished with pine bed, bedside table, original built in wardrobes, table and chairs, side board, chest of drawers and an easy chair. This room shares a good sized kitchen and bathroom with 3 others.

THE KITCHEN

The kitchen has plenty of cupboard space, microwave, kettle, toaster, gas cooker, fridge and freezer, plus additional fridge-freezer. There is also a washing machine, tumble drier and a dining table and chairs in the other larger shared kitchen for all to use.

THE BATHROOM

This has a bath with shower over and instant hot water.

GENERAL

The house has Virgin unlimited wi-fi (up to 200 mbps) Outside, the garage can be used for bike storage and there is free roadside parking just outside the property. Tenants can make use of the large garden. The communal areas including kitchens and bathrooms are cleaned weekly although everyone is expected to clean up after themselves.

THE TERMS

The room is £429 PCM which includes share of bills (council tax, water, gas, electric and wi-fi) - a flat rate throughout the year. There are no fees or deposit taken but rent is paid calendar monthly in advance from the outset.
