Single room to rent in family home in Chalgrove

Available from 1st December 2023, this is a single room in our home in Chalgrove, South Oxfordshire. Easy access to central Oxford, Wallingford, Watlington, Henley on Thames etc. Ten mins drive from M40 motorway for commuting to London, Birmingham etc. Chalgrove is a quiet village with three pubs but if you are looking for nightlife and a lively household this may not be the property for you.

We are a married couple aged 60 and 64, very laid back and young at heart. We have two dogs and a cat. All our pets are very placid and well behaved.

Our grown up children have left home, so we rent our two spare bedrooms out. One of these is occupied but the larger of the two rooms is available and has been newly decorated with new furniture, bedding and curtains (see photos). The room is small to medium but is very light and airy, as is the whole house. There is no en suite bathroom so the new lodger would have shared use of our bathroom and also the kitchen and garden.

We have rented both rooms for over ten years and most of our tenants have lived with us from Monday to Friday only, for which we charge £450 per month. We would, however, consider a quiet tenant 7 days a week for £500 per month.
