Good size double room in lovely two-bed flat
Hi,
I have a spacious, furnished double room available from 15th March. The flat has two bathrooms which is really nice because this room has almost sole use of the main bathroom (visitors use it too), but there are never any worries about getting ready for work in the morning!
The flat has an open-plan kitchen and living room with double patio doors opening from the living room. It is on the ground floor and therefore easy to access the large communal garden area, which runs alongside the canal.
My current housemate is moving to London for her job. I'm a teacher and so work pretty long hours but when I'm home I'm up for a chat, a bit of TV or an episode of Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad or something of a similar ilk on the laptop.. I also have two kittens (about 6 months old) - they're a bit mischievous but very sweet... I'm not a crazy cat lady but my mates do call me that sometimes when they're trying to wind me up ;)
The monthly rent includes council tax, broadband and TV licence. The only other bills are electricity and water but these change with usage and so are not included - I would say averaged out they would be another ã50 a month each.
The kitchen is equipped pretty well with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, hand blender etc and I have all the crockery and cutlery that is needed.
I like to keep the main living space clean and tidy (it's open plan and so leaving dirty dishes makes the whole place look messy), and would like someone who is also that way inclined. But I'm not OCD about it.. :)
There's a little Tesco Express round the corner (2 minute walk) or a big Sainsbury's a few minutes away by car. We're really close to the A34 and ring road so access is really good. The local pub is OK - pretty nice if you like to watch any sport and I've been there for a few games of pool which is fun, but I wouldn't say it's the best pub in Oxford. On saying that, the centre of town is only 1. 5 miles straight down the Abingdon Road (or Cowley Road just over the Donnington Bridge), with the bus stop just across the road from the development.
I hope I've given you an idea about the flat, local area and me. Please get in touch if you are interested in a viewing or have any questions.
Cheers
Rachel
