Our home is an Executive 4 bed detached house in a private courtyard on the Doveside Estate Darfield.
The accommodation on offer includes 1 x double room which overlooks our rear garden. It is fitted with a new and very comfortable 'King-sized' bed, built-in wardrobes, bedside table and a chest of drawers. It also benefits from a new C/H radiator and wall- mounted TV with built-in Freeview and DVD function. It is also the quietest bedroom in the house and would therefore benefit light sleepers or a space where their peace won't be disturbed.
This room is also closest to our upper floor Family Bathroom which has only recently been remodelled and besides the sink and toilet we now have a state of the art wall to wall walk-in shower with glass screen and hands free overhead shower fitting and wall mounted control valve.
All rooms in the house are warm, clean and comfortable and benefit from radiators powered by a new (over spec) Gas Combi-Boiler and has a 'C' grade energy efficiency rating. Inside our house is non-smoking environment but persons who smoke are welcome to stay as long as they join the landlord outside if they wish to smoke.
The house is centrally located in the village in a modern housing estate and nestles in a private off road mini development of just 3 properties. It is also set back away from the Estate through road and thus a peaceful and quiet retreat - largely unaffected by any traffic noise.
There is ample secure parking for residential use including our paying guests and because it's privately owned, its free from would-be parking-space usurpers.
House-mate(s) would be able to share all facilities of the house including a spacious Living Room, Dining room, a large and extended kitchen with modern units (fitted with a 7 x ring gas burner 'Stove' with double oven) Other integral appliances for shared use include a Washing M/c, Dishwasher, and many more mod cons. As a house-guest you would also be allocated your own Fridge-Freezer and cupboard space for personal use.
The property also comes with an enclosed, sheltered and private rear garden with spacious 'sun-trap' style sun-deck, comma-shaped lawn and garden which makes it ideal for outdoor types who enjoy gardens, BBQ's, drinks parties, relaxing in the sun or 'chillaxing' on balmy summer evenings.
We already have pets (2 x friendly English Springer Spaniels) and so alas we could not accommodate persons with pets for this reason.

We both lead busy lives and for this reason we're looking to accommodate another lodger with a clean and tidy disposition - who is prepared to keep their room clean and tidy at all times. The ideal person will be someone capable of independent living on a self-reliant and self-sufficient basis. In return we offer a warm and comfortable home from home environment where responsible adults can feel safe, secure, happy and welcome.
Our house is ideally situated within Darfield village with its own blend of shops/amenities etc and close (1 mile) from nearby Wombwell with its shops, Banks and busy nightlife. Barnsley Town Centre is only 4 miles away and Lodgers without vehicles are also well catered for with good bus services to Wombwell, Doncaster or Barnsley and close links to M1/A1 Linkroad and the Dearne Valley. ASOS is also just a pleasant twenty minute walk away or easily reached by a good local bus service. NEXT and Manvers Industrial Park is also close by.
A deposit of £100 will secure this room. If a would-be house-mate is unable to move in immediately this sum can secure the room and later be converted to a refundable bond when they actually move in. Previous disappointments means that unfortunately rooms cannot be reserved without a deposit or occupied without a bond or therefore prompt a temporary retraction of this advert until this condition is met.
