The room

Your double room has a double bed with a side table, computer desk and chair. There is a large fitted wardrobe and some shelving. The window is double glazed and the room central heated. You also have a TV aerial connection and WiFi access. The ensuite bathroom has been recently renovated and consists of a powerful shower, toilet, sink and cupboard space.

Our property:

Our bungalow is on a quiet, rural feeling road on the Chaldon/Caterham border, backing onto Queens park. It is set back from the road and detached providing a private, quiet atmosphere.

The property is very large and we (my partner & I) are situated in an annexe at the far end of the bungalow with our own bathroom, giving you lots of privacy.

A Bit about us:

We are a professional couple in our 40's, who work hard, but also enjoy a nice meal and glass of wine in the evening. We like keeping fit and going out for dinner. We have 2 cats, who are very well behaved and are short haired. We also share our property with a friend.

We are looking for:

a like minded professional individual/couple to share our home with. No night shift workers please.

Why live in Caterham?

Caterham has supermarkets, banks, bars, shops, restaurants, pubs and takeaways. It is a safe neighbourhood. There are plenty of sports facilities in Queens Park such as free tennis courts, bowls, football pitches, cricket pitch, gym equipment, yoga classes and a playground. The nearby De Stafford Sports Centre has a gym, swimming pool and excellent fitness classes (i. e. zumba, step, boxcercise, yoga etc). Mercers Lake, a 10 minute drive, has canoeing and sailing. Nearby you can also find rifle and clay pigeon shooting, fishing and horse riding. The local golf course is a 2 minute walk and kenley aerodrome is nearby, where you can join the gliding club. There is also an allotment located nearby. Caterham has the Surrey walking paths and the cycling routes by the North Downs Way. There are also lots of caves and a good caving club based nearby.

TRAIN
The nearest train station is Caterham and is in zone 6. It is a 20 minute walk through a leafy park. Because we are at the end of the line the train is often sitting there when you arrive (perfect in winter as you don't have to wait on a cold platform and you always get a seat. Trains go to Victoria and London bridge (30 to 40 minutes to London), East Croydon, Direct trains also run to Purley, Tattenham, Streatham, Norwood, Crystal Palace, Balham, Clapham Junction, Penge, Forest Hill, Sydenham, Charring Cross and Waterloo! East Croydon is a good place to change trains for Brighton, Gatwick, Crawley and Redhill.

DRIVE
Gatwick is 20 minute drive. East Croydon is 20 mins drive. Southwark, Lambeth, Wimbledon, Wandsworth, Leatherhead, Guildford, Heathrow 45 mins drive. M25, M23, A25, A23, A22, 5 mins drive. Coulsdon, Sutton, Wallington, Bansted, Redhill. Horley Reigate, Oxted, Merstam, Westerham, and Kent close by.

BUS
The bus stop isva 5 minute walk. Local bus routes available to Caterham BR station, Purley, Redhill, Croydon, Whyteleafe, Nutfield, Merstham, Woldingham, Coulsdon, Chaldon, Oxted and Kenley.
