I am acting for my mother who has 1 double room to rent in her 3 bed house available now. She is easygoing, cheerful, and is habitually - and expects her lodgers to be - REALLY clean & tidy,-likes: Gym, theatre, friends, bridge, gardening tv.
£600pcm to a single person - £700 to a couple. All inc. (Same rate to any Mon-Fri tenants).
Her house is: Super clean, tidy, warm, cosy totally refurbished well furnished Victorian detached house.
THERE ARE NO Pets in the house.
There is one other lodger of 15+ years standing who is very intelligent, easy going, knowledgeable and pleasant.
THE ROOM: has a comfortable new double divan bed, built-in wardrobe, with a lovely in-cupboard-basin, tv aerial point & virgin box, no tv. (also in one of the cupboards pictured) drawers and plenty of hanging space. It overlooks the front garden and the street, there is a good sized desk in the room which also and benefits from extremely effective lighting. The carpet in the room is also recently laid.
The house has one very well appointed shared bathroom with basin, loo, huge luxury shower and separate bath. Each lodger has their own bathroom cabinet cupboard in the bathroom.
There is a downstairs loo too. A Dining room, Living room and Conservatory leading into the garden. The Living room has a wood burner as well as central heating and the roof has been newly thoroughly insulated, so the house is always toasty and warm.
The kitchen is spacious with a table in the bay window with built in seating - the large American style fridge is shared there is another fridge in an out building for your use if you wish to have your own. There is also a freezer in the out building for you to have a drawer to use. There is a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave all mod cons tea & coffee included. Sky tv in reception room. Plenty of on street parking good road connections, M3, M25 a 10 minute drive away. Outside is a lovely well maintained 45 foot garden with side access, lawn, terrace, pond with fish, (plenty of garden furniture for summer lazing). There is room in the sheltering overhang outside her garden shed for a bike if you've got one and a useful side access that is kept locked.
There are shops and restaurants nearby and Hampton Court Train Station (Zone 6) is a 35 minute commute into Waterloo it's more expensive from Esher Train Station and a bit further from the house (not a problem if you have a car), but the journey is 10mins shorter into Waterloo with more trains per hour. The stations are just over a mile away with street parking near either station available free. There are buses to Hersham, Walton, Hampton Court Station, Hampton Court Green, Esher and Kingston from the bottom of the road. From Hampton Court Station there is a regular R68 Bus Service to Richmond and Kew and just over the bridge the X26 to Heathrow passes hourly and the 111. Not far is the River Thames, lovely parks and a very friendly and sociable gym (The Pavillion), half a mile away which is about £80pcm inclusive of classes.

She hates mess & overly smelly cooking: the kitchen could happily host open-heart-surgery with less risk of infection than in a hospital. So if you can't clear up after yourself this really is not the house for you. Cleaners come bi-weekly to sort out the shared areas and for an extra £5 will do your room too.
