The house is situated on a quiet, new estate which is only 5 minutes away from the Metro Centre and retail park. With easy access to bus and train routes as well as the A1, and just a short distance away from the centre of Gateshead and Newcastle.
The room itself is a bright, spacious loft room, which benefits from large built in wardrobes. There are two dormer windows on either side of the room, one which gives an incredible view of the Tyne valley. Blackout blinds are installed in both windows, to allow you to get a good night's sleep! The room has a modern, neutral decor, with a brand new double bed, orthopaedic mattress and bedding.
On the first floor there is a family bathroom, which would be mostly be available for your exclusive use as we have an en-suite bathroom. The shared area on the ground floor consists of a downstairs toilet and an open-plan kitchen/living space, with fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer and microwave. The rooms are divided by a breakfast bar, which opens onto the living/dining area. There is a 50" tv, with Sky+, Xbox 360, large corner group sofa and wireless broadband. Patio doors open out to the good sized garden, with lawn and decking area. Perfect for barbecues! Off road parking is available on our driveway.
As for us, we are a couple who have lived together for over 3 years. We don't argue or have lover's tiffs and are very easy going! I am an electrical engineer, whilst my girlfriend is a graphic/web designer and an artist. We have the usual interests, nights out and in, going for meals and the cinema, we enjoy the gym and swimming, or going on day trips and outings. At home we enjoy watching films, gaming, painting, reading, cooking and baking and spending time with friends. We do have pets, a quiet labrador and a couple of house cats, but they would be kept out of your room and we ensure they are very clean.
Our requirements in a lodger are quite simple, we like to keep our house relatively clean and tidy and would want someone who respects others and their possessions, and just generally be considerate. We are very friendly and laid back, and love doing sociable things, but will understand and respect your need for privacy or peace and quiet.
The monthly rental includes gas, electricity, water and broadband, but does not include food or use of the landline.
