Hi I'm Julie,
Lovely huge room in huge 3 storey Victorian house. The room is on the ground floor so there is plenty of privacy. The room has 3 wardrobes, chest of drawers, desk & chair, another armchair. There is a shaker style double bed. The room is high ceilinged and airy, with the original ceiling rose. There is a TV and Freeview. Virgin tv could be added at your own cost. Wifi throughout the house is free and speedy
Shared bathroom, dining room and kitchen all to a high standard with all mod cons. The house is triple glazed, so is quiet. It has town garden with pond and attractively planted. It's a great space to enjoy the arrival of lovely weather (if we get any).
I live in the house with my cat (and chinchilla and pond outside) and would expect the person living here to be an animal lover. I am a sociable and easy going woman who had years of experience of sharing houses. I have enjoyed friendships and being on good terms with previous tenants (two of whom came out with me on Saturday for a drink for my birthday at the Free Trade). But I also would give you and like my own space. I would hope that the person who moves in would be friendly and kind-the same as I am.
I enjoy going mainly to pubs in Ouseburn or The Central-which is a great local funky pub within walking distance. I love going to gigs. But I also like to spend time at home relaxing with a movie or music.
Cleaning of shared spaces is included in rent. Except for washing up!
The house is conveniant for Metro (10 mins walk) & buses (2min walk) into Newcastle, Gateshead and Durham. Near to Gateshead College or Uni(s) in Newcastle or easy commute to Durham (where I used to study). It is near the library, leisure centre/gym, Saltwell Park and the Quayside/Newcastle Town Centre. You could not ask for a more ideal/central location. Parking is available on street.
One months rent, ie £320, as deposit plus one months rent of £320 is required at the beginning of the tenancy (total £640). No DSS sorry. The rent of £320 per month includes all bills including the internet and council tax.

"Julie is the best landlady I've ever had. She is both a great flatmate and a friend. Even though there is quite a significant age difference between us (I'm 23 years old) we have never had any problems with that. She's just such a great person to talk to! Additionally, she loves to experiment in the kitchen - ask her to make you a veggie hot dog risotto and you won't be disappointed! Obviously the house itself is a great place to live in, as it has lots of character. The room is large, nicely decorated and has a lot of storage space. The location is central, yet it doesn’t feel overcrowded or overly busy.
