Professional with 2 cats looking for lodger
I am a professional looking for a lodger to share my 2 bedroom flat with me and my two cats.
It's a 2nd floor new build flat in a small block of 9 apartments, situated on the new Bannerbrook Park estate on the outskirts of Tile Hill. It is 1 mile away from Tile Hill Station and has bus routes passing the main roads. There is parking on the estate in visitors' spaces and on the roads around the apartment blocks. I particularly like the area because you can walk straight out of the estate into the countryside, and the village of Berkswell is a 40 minute stroll through the public footpaths and fields. There is a bike shed, so if you have a bike you won't need to lug it up you 2 flights of stairs every time!
The room is furnished, and furniture can be moved around to suit your needs, e. g. creating space for a desk. In the room at the moment is a double bed, spacious wardrobe, medium chest of drawers, small chest of drawers, a small bookcase, and a table that can be folded out to create a desk. There is space for storage under the bed, and there may be additional storage space in another bookcase in the hallway, and in the loft if required - within reason!
I have my own ensuite and so the bathroom (shower over bath with decent water pressure) will be predominantly yours. I have the occasional bath, and visitors to the house will use the bathroom, but there will be no queues for the bathroom in the morning!
I have two cream, long-haired, Persian cats, that I like to call Pancake Face and Fluff Monster. A love of cats is essential and they won't be good for people with allergies! But they are lovely, cuddly, and well tempered animals...but they do get fur everywhere!
I work predominantly 9-5pm Monday to Friday. I am often busy in the evenings with my exercise regime and social activities. I often go away at weekends, even if just for a day. I am a sociable person, but also like my independence. It would be good to be able to strike a nice balance with a flat mate, giving each other space but also being able to enjoy the odd cup of tea or glass of wine, along with a good show on TV with each other.
I like cooking and baking, and my kitchen is fairly well stocked with most of the equipment you might need. Some items of note include a dishwasher, nespresso coffee machine, and washing machine (although no dryer - but my clothes dry hanging up or over a clothes horse fairly quickly)
I am looking for a flat mate because I am saving up to go travelling later this year. I am open to short term lets, but also for someone who might want to stay for up to 6 months.
