Nice accommodation at the end of a pleasant and quiet cul-de-sac in Shirley, Solihull. Own kitchen and OWN living room - not shared - as well as bedroom (The ad says one room in the main details because the site will not allow me to say there is more than one room.) Two toilets in house. Access to peaceful, secluded back garden and off-road parking. Sainsbury's and David Lloyd gym both a short walk away, convenience store and cafes/takeaways even closer. Solihull town centre ten minutes on bus, or five mins drive. Also close to the well set-up Shirley shopping centre.

This is a special kind of accommodation for a special person, or maybe two people. We are seeking someone to be around in a house with an elderly lady (92) Regular carers (no agency involved and they know the lady well) come in for long periods twice every day and family very nearby also attends daily. What we are looking for is someone who is not carrying out any specific duties, but who is prepared to be vigilant and to occasionally use their own judgment for example to summon fast additional help if needed, or to point out problems. Phone numbers supplied. Because of the minor extra help needed the rent is low for the quality of the accommodation. We are, ideally, seeking someone with a health or related caring background, but will take a suitably mature and responsible person without this. However, the accommodation is within easy travelling distance of Solihull and Heartlands hospitals.

Please note: sorry, but our role is first to find someone to be in the property most nights, for the reasons given, and only secondly to provide income through a letting. This is spacious and comfortable accommodation in pleasant surroundings. This is a stable ongoing situation. As noted above, people usually stay a long time and we have had some great people over the years, who have also become part of the general set-up along with relatives and carers who are frequently popping in and out and we often all have a laugh together. However, you will only be considered when you have explained why you believe you are appropriate for the role described above. The facts that you can move in straightaway, or are working nearby, are not by themselves much of a selling point for this special role.
