Happy Relaxed Family Home

We have had lodgers for 14 years and they tend to stay a long time and become part of the family! We also have a very spoilt 20 year old female cat who won't go in your room. Whilst we would happily consider pets, they would need to be cat friendly, so stick insects, small furry things in a cage/swimming things in a tank, outdoor things in hutches or maybe an elderly cat, but sorry no dogs, pigs, goats or horses.
Our house is 5 minutes from Broadwater shops, GSK, and 10-15 minutes from Worthing central station and close to two bus routes. We are a non-smoking household.
The room itself is a furnished double room, with double bed, modern, nicely decorated and carpeted. There is a large dry eaves cupboard suitable for storage. It is a roof room, with two velux windows with built in blackout blinds. There is one modern bathroom with loo, and another toilet downstairs. We have a very large kitchen, with a separate fridge and mini freezer for our lodger, and lots of cupboard space and worktop area. There is free broadband and a TV aerial. There is central heating, washing machine, dishwasher, outside drying for washing, off road parking on the driveway for your car and a bike shed. We are tidy but not overly so. I just don't have time to be OCD about these things but all important shared areas are clean and we are a considerate family with regards to noise. There is a massive back garden, that is not being very well loved at the moment, with a paved area, plus decked area with table and chairs, lawn and a few flower beds. You would be welcome to grow stuff and share the very large shed.
We are looking for someone professional, mature who is OK with our easy going teenagers. We are cool with all cultures, religions, ethnicity, gender and disabilities (however be aware that there are two flights of stairs to the room as it is a loft room).
