Lovely room & private bathroom in family home

We have 1 good size sunny double room with private bathroom available in our lovely Edwardian home. The sea is at the end of the road, splashpoint leisure centre just around the corner and we're about an 8 min walk from the hospital.

We're looking for a friendly and respectful professional person to share our large family home.

Your room is on the top floor, and has it’s own private bathroom next door. It’s light, newly done up and has a double bed, chest of drawers, bedside table and wardrobe.

You'd be sharing with us, a friendly professional couple, and our two children, aged 3 and 4. We also have a long haired cat who keeps to himself.

We have another spare room which we will rent out on a short term basis (we use the room for an au pair in the summer) and a self contained air bnb room which we rent out on some weekends.

You'd be welcome to share our living room and large kitchen diner which comes fully equipped with washing machine, microwave, dishwasher etc. You would have your own cupboard and fridge. We also have broadband and a TV and play station in the living room.

For the warmer months there is also a front and back garden and a table tennis table. We've also got plenty of room in a big shed for bikes etc.

The rent is £550 per calendar month per room for one person, including bills & council tax and a cleaner once a fortnight. A deposit of £300 is also payable before you move in. Provided nothing is damaged etc, this will be returned to you when you leave.

If you wanted a different arrangement (e. g. Monday to Fridays) then let us know as there may be some flexibility with the rent.

Of course you'd be welcome to have friends/partners to stay in your room for weekends etc.

We're about 15 mins walk from a East Worthing train station, and 20-25 mins walk to Worthing central train station, regular trains to Brighton take apprx 20 mins. The 700 bus also takes you to Brighton or Littlehampton and stops at the end of our road.

We both work from home and the kids are around too outside of school hours so we don’t think it would work to have someone else who works from home unfortunately.

We are used to having lodgers in our home, and would welcome you into our home. You can be as involved as you like with the family, some lodgers have enjoyed spending time together (e. g. having meals together), whereas others have preferred to keep to themselves. It’s completely up to you.
