Lingfield is only a small village but is good for horseracing. There are a few bars and restaurants. Although there is not much in Lingfield (2 small supermarkets, 3 or 4 pubs and a few hairdressers) it is only a ten minute train journey to East Grinstead where there are more shops and only 50mins train journey to London Victoria. Good for London lovers who want to live somewhere quieter.
