Lecturer

I've just had my contract extended for a further year as a lecturer in linguistics at Newcastle University to start mid-September so I would be looking to move in at the start of the month. I'm from London and I'm married, but my husband will be staying down south so some weekends I'll be commuting down, though occasionally he will come up to visit me.

I'd say I get on well with most people and am tidy. I'm vegetarian, though you don't have to be, but I'm also a really bad cook - sorry - so tend to live off microwave meals, which at least means I won't be making a mess in the kitchen.

I've taken up early-morning lockdown jogging and yoga which I hope to continue once things get back to normality. I have an international outlook and enjoy travelling. I lived for a long time in Germany and my husband’s also German. I’m generally a very open-minded person and interested in new experiences.

I'd prefer just one or two flatmates as opposed to larger flat-shares and I'd be looking in areas where I can get to the university easily so not too far away from the centre of town. Beyond that I'm flexible about who I live with, as long as everything I've written above sounds like someone you'd like to live with.
