Seeking room in large character home (or buddy-up)

I'm looking for a house share with other mature, professional, well-adjusted people when my house sale goes though in mid-June. I'd like to live in a large, character property with good-sized garden in an attractive area within walking distance (a mile) of town and station.
I'd prefer my housemates to have similar political views (Green/Lib/Lab/Remain) so we don't get into arguments!
I have a cat so housemates should be pet lovers but ideally not have a cat themselves.
My ideal house is large enough that housemates have room to spread and don?t get under each others? feet. I often work from home so the house should ideally have a study or a spare room that could be used as an office. It would also be good to have a spare room so that family or friends can visit occasionally.
I would like to live in a peaceful, respectful environment where everyone gets along and no-one feels they have to keep their bedroom door locked; it would be nice to be on terms where we can get together in the kitchen for a cup of tea or glass of wine and a chat after work, or maybe the occasional shared meal or trip to the pub.
Although I do smoke, I am happy to do so in the garden; I don't smoke indoors in my own home..
