Mature student looking for a more suitable place

Hi everyone

As my ad title says, I'm looking for a more suitable place for me. The place I'm living now is not horrible but it's a little uncomfortable and inconvenient. I think it would be better suited to somebody else. It's not a great location for me, and it's inconvenient because there are a lot of neighbours I can potentially disturb with playing music on my keyboards. So living with or near people who are especially into music is a plus for me.

I’ve been living in Edinburgh for 5 years. My favourite place to live since being in Edinburgh has been the south of Edinburgh so I wouldn't mind a place in the south of Edinburgh or even a little south of Edinburgh. This is also because I have family in Dumfries and it makes it easier to drive to them and for them to come and see me. I'm also a member of a tennis club in Liberton where I'm friends with a lot of the members, so I would like to be near this tennis club again - I'm not near this tennis club right now.

I need a spacious enough room. Ideally (but I could compromise this), I could have a bedroom big enough to have my music keyboards and my PC in it. I need a 129cm wide space for the keyboards to stay and be held on a two-level keyboard stand (one above the other). By the way, they're able to be listened to through headphones so I could play them without anyone else hearing them when that's preferred. However, if I really had to compromise, I would instead accept that my digital piano could be set up in another room where I could play it whenever I want, and I'd buy a small keyboard for doing music work on my PC.

I also have one big bookcase and two smaller ones (but I could take them to a relative's house if need be), and enough storage for some other possessions.

I have a car so I need somewhere to park it.

I'm looking for somewhere to stay long-term because I want a base to pursue my interests. I love home music production, piano-playing, tennis (I'm a member of Craigmillar Park Tennis Club right now and play 2-5 times a week), video games development (making video games), learning Italian with Duolingo, going on walks sometimes, and going to meetups (through meetup. com) around Edinburgh, I have plenty of interests.

I sometimes give people private piano lessons (for which I charge).

I have also pursued drama/acting before and might pursue it again.

I'm on the autistic spectrum.

I'm thinking strongly about going back to college to do music.
I have done music and drama courses before, and for the past number of months I have chosen to learn from courses online and free online learning resources, largely being a self-teacher, in order to gain new skills and knowledge in a personalised way and to prepare for new opportunities. It has gone very successfully, I love self-structuring and self-teaching. So I have been a student but not quite in the traditional way. And I'm now moving towards getting back out there again. I'm very eager to meet more people.

I am comfortably able to pay rent because I receive ESA and PIP.
