Nice room wanted

My name's Wayne. I'm 44 yr old, I've been self-employed for 13 years, single, clean & tidy, quiet, and easy-going.

I mainly work from home. I do various things including turning distressed businesses around, business consulting, buying & selling businesses, & I'm currently working on creating a 5 star spa resort in Africa.
This means I need a decent internet connection, and ideally a small desk space to work from.

I have an allergy to pets, unfortunately.

I'd like to live somewhere quiet, in a nice area, with either a park or beach close by where I can walk & chill out. I don't like living in the city center, prefer a small town, village, or rural, with a nice view. Prefer somewhere you don't have to keep looking over your shoulder if you go for a walk after 8pm

Have an interest in self sustainable living, so anyone growing their own food, (or has land and wants to) would be a bonus

Due to being self-employed, I don't have any employment references.
I have travelled all over the UK & Spain, staying in Airbnb, and during lockdown at my parents in Devon. Recently moved from Cheshire to my parents annex in Exeter, but I want to move out of this as soon as possible as this is rented on Airbnb & has bookings . I stayed with the same landlord for 2.5 years

I'd prefer to stay in a family home or in a self-contained property. I do not like living with 8 strangers in a noisy (& dirty) HMO.
It must be furnished too thanks, though I have sheets, towels etc.

I'm happy to be sociable, or keep myself to myself, whatever you're comfortable with. I've rented my own rooms out previously, & I understand that having strangers living in your house you don't always want to be around them 24/7.

Term of tenancy, I'm flexible, at the moment, I'm just looking for somewhere nice, the time passes very quickly lately, so 6 month can pass in the blink of an eye. My plan is to go over to Africa when I have set the project up

Happy to stay with male or female, any age, I generally get on with everyone.
