Designer requires a home 4 nights a week

I am a Consultant Product Designer who is looking for a home for 3/4 nights per week until Oct 2020 at least, but much more likely 2 years, within two miles of Airbus,, due to there being no parking there. Hence walk or taxis.

I would prefer to share with an individual who has only one room to let, and sees the advantages of having their house returned to themselves over the weekend, without the presence of a ?lodger?.

I was a smoker, and do still have the occassional one, but now I vape, and in any case will only smoke/vape outside the house. (Note my last landlady in Birmingham will atest to this.). I have no problem with how others live their lives, so long as it in no way impinges on my life, and I can arrive at my room on a Monday night, and find it in the same state I left it on the previous Friday morning.

What is important is not if there is a gym or cinema nearby, nor access to the train station to London but reasonable cleanliness, good company, and be able to get into a bathroom in the morning. I have been offered rooms during other contracts in houses sharing with 4 others, the landlord unable to understand that 4 rooms and one bathroom does not work. Hence why I would prefer sharing with only one person, or unlikely as it is, in a house with two bathrooms, or an ensuite.

I am partnered, and have a lovely, (but painfully a teenage), 15 year old daughter who I think the world of. (Yes I know at my age I should have thought twice about being a dad, but I wouldn't change anything for the world.) Apart from looking after those two people, my life consists of trying to stop my house from falling down, fighting back the garden, and going through the usual male mid life crisis.

I recently lodged in Birmingham with a lady pensioner, who is happy to supply a verbal reference. We worked it so that as a deposit, she was always paid two weeks in advance, in a rolling way. That way, she always had two weeks notice, or deposit, paid for in advance, and weekly got this topped up. We can however, discuss a way, that satisfies us both.
