Hi,

I would like to know if someone is interested in offering me a room in exchange for part-time work with house chores or a whole property and being overnight security or guardian.

I am also happy to help a family by looking after their children or supporting an older adult.

I am Spyros, a 31 years old Greek postgraduate student that works as a live-in houseparent for a boarding school in Oxford.

My agreement with the boarding school is to work at least 40 hours per month for free boarding accommodation and a salary of 655 pcm.

I had a similar agreement with a Catholic Monastery for nine months (October 2020 to June 2021) while studying towards an Executive MBA in Scotland. I was looking after a 46-bedroom retreat Centre in exchange for free board, meals and office access.

From August 2018 until February 2020, I was a live-in accommodation officer for a college and ran a student property consisting of 33 ensuite studios in Whitechapel. Unfortunately, I lost my live-in position due to the Pandemic and moved to Scotland to pursue a postgraduate degree.

I would like to know if someone has a spare room or an unused facility that requires someone to live onsite. I am asking for free accommodation in exchange for maintaining a secure place. If you have something like that available, please let me know.

I can provide references and will follow all your rules.
