Good sized Double room/ double wardrobe/ exclusive use of bathroom/ space available in fridge and freezer/ use of microwave and electric hob /washing machine and drying space:: secure bike lockup:/on street parking.
Tarland has a lot going on for someone with interests similar to the house owners. It has a pharmacy, village shop, cafe, hotel, pub which hosts weekly music nights, village hall which hosts concerts, film club, community choir, special interest groups… Douneside House has a gym and swimming pool. An added activity for some ( not the owners ; ) are the Tarland Trails for varying degrees of mountain biking proficiency.
The bus stop is just up the road but in common with many rural communities is served by an infrequent bus service , 202 . Only one service in the morning takes commuters to Aberdeen and back again arriving 6.30pm.
Highly recommend having a car (or e-bike) as this will allow a link to the hourly bus service into Aberdeen from Aboyne (5miles away).
