For those looking to commute to work on the mainland:
From my place you either need to drive/cycle (20min/40min) to the ferry port where you can take the ferry to Oban. You can check the Oban ferry times on the Calmac website.
Or you can take the foot passenger ferry at the North end to Port Appin, but then you will need a car there to get to Oban/Fort William or other places.
You can check the Appin ferry times on the Argyll and Bute website.
If you have to commute daily, you will need a car either on the island, or the mainland. Please check this is possible before applying for the room.
