Large double room in Banwell, on the edge of the Mendips, 15 mins from Weston-super-Mare, 35 mins from Bristol, 5 mins from the M5, 20 mins from Bristol Airport.
It is a shared house, which I own, with 3 of us here of both genders, we are looking for a forth person, another female to join us. The house is a 300 year old, 5 bedroom cottage with 1/3rd acre garden. This provides us with ample parking, a large vegetable patch, various fruit trees and space to bbq in, sit round the fire, eat with many friends, lie in the hammock or just be by one of the the wildlife ponds.
The room available is the basement room, a large double room, with its own external entrance and en-suite basin. It can be furnished with double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers; or part furnished with double bed. It has a low ceiling as it's the basement, so if you are over 6 foot tall, you won't fit in. There is an opening window, and also the top half of the door has glass, so there is natural light in the room.
There is a large shared living room/dining room 25 ft x 15 ft with wood burner, and also a smaller shared living room also with wood burner. A large kitchen on the back of the house has an Aga and dishwasher. There is gas central heating throughout the cottage and a combi-boiler that feeds the power shower. Bathroom with bath and shower, and also downstairs toilet. We also have a cleaner once a fortnight to clean the kitchen and shared living areas.
Living here can be busy and sociable if you want company, or you can hide away in a quiet part of the house - there's usually one somewhere as it's so big - and read or spend time on the computer, or have your friends round.
We have a few outbuildings for storing things like bikes, tools or suitcases, and off street parking at the bottom of the garden where we have our camper vans parked, with room for the cars too.
Rent is £465 pcm inc bills WiFi, Netflix and Amazon Prime.
